Child Safety & Working with Children 

At Ride The Spectrum, the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is central to everything we do. Our Teen Confidence Coaching programs are delivered in environments that prioritise emotional safety, respect, and trust. 

Our Commitment to Child Safety 

We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where young people feel respected, heard, and protected. This includes supporting neurodivergent teens with dignity, understanding, and care. 

Ride The Spectrum has zero tolerance for abuse, harm, or inappropriate behaviour of any kind.

Working With Children Check (Western Australia) 

In accordance with the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 (WA): 

  • All practitioners and facilitators delivering programs to children and teens hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued in Western Australia 

  • WWCC details are verified prior to engaging in child-related work 

  • WWCC registrations are maintained and kept current in line with WA legislation 

  • WWCC information is handled confidentially and in accordance with privacy requirements

Professional Conduct & Boundaries 

All Ride The Spectrum facilitators are required to: 

  • Always maintain clear professional boundaries 

  • Interact with young people in a respectful, age-appropriate, and supportive manner 

  • Use language and approaches that promote emotional safety and confidence 

  • Avoid any behaviour that could be perceived as inappropriate or harmful

Online & In-Person Sessions 

Whether sessions are delivered online or in person: 

  • Programs are conducted in transparent, professional settings 

  • Parents or guardians are informed about program structure and delivery 

  • Communication remains focused on coaching content and wellbeing 

  • Private or inappropriate communication outside agreed channels is not permitted

Reporting & Concerns 

Any concerns relating to a child’s safety or wellbeing are taken seriously. 
Ride The Spectrum follows mandatory reporting obligations under WA legislation where required and acts promptly to protect children and young people. 

Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact us directly if they have any concerns or questions regarding child safety.

Our Ongoing Responsibility 
Child safety is a shared responsibility. Ride The Spectrum regularly reviews its practices to ensure compliance with Western Australian requirements and to uphold best-practice standards in working with children and young people.
